PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Web developer
I developed and redesigned many websites within the college using HTML, CSS, Javascript, some PHP and perl, and Google's documents and forms. The university is very restrictive of running dynamic code on their main server, therefore I found server-side includes (SSI) very useful for things such as the navigation menus, footer, header, and any other content prevalent on multiple pages. Google's forms were also useful for small, quick surveys. A few of the websites I created/redesigned/updated include Rendezvous Journal, Veterans' Sanctuary, College of Arts & Sciences, Womens' Studies.

Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple web development projects. Work closely with clients to develop credibility and establish a presence. Manage programmers and graphic designers to produce quality websites. Participate in bi-monthly meetings making recommendations to increase the value of products and services. Computer Technology, Inc.
Software Engineer
Design applications using the .NET framework along with Javascript, CSS, AJAX and SQL. I redesigned a web application using asp.net that takes credit card payments for telepone companies and handles the general transactions for their customers. Developed an sql wizard desktop application with vb.net. It graphically designs sql queries for people with no knowledge of sql or databases. Worked on a web-based purchase order system that ties directly into the telephone company's billing and accounting software.

Responsible for designing secure web applications with an MS database backend. My duties included programming using asp.net, html, SQL, and some javascript in order to create dynamic website applications. I was also responsible for testing our applications and documenting the design and implementation process.

ISLUG (Idaho State Linux Users Group)
This is a group for geeks! We meet every other week and discuss whatever computer-related issues we want... although we don't always stay on topic! We also run events like Software Freedom Day to celebrate and educate about the benefits of open source software. We have also brought in speakers from companies such as Apple in hopes of educating the public about the different Operating Systems available.
Pythug (Python Users Group)
This is a brand new group that hasn't even held its first meeting. I love python and use it for all kinds of coding projects and assignments. When a friend of mine told me he wanted to start this group, I immediately signed-up and emailed everyone I thought might be interested. I'm excited to see where this goes!
Elk's Lodge
There are so many great things about being an Elk, but I've got to admit I haven't been very active lately. I did help with a highway clean-up last summer. I love the thought of everyone taking time to better the community and that is a big part of what the Elk's does!
